Ruhl Samuel Dawson, 101, died Saturday, November 5, 2016. A native of Oconee County, he was the husband of Charlotte Lord Dawson and son of Royal Clifford Dawson and Hassie Daniel Dawson. He was a member of Union Christian Church and retired from Wellington Puritan Textile. In addition to his wife, survivors include his children: Randy (Jeannie) Dawson and Nan (Ron) Deal of Watkinsville; sister, Sunie Nell Stewart of Gainesville, FL and granddaughter, Laura Deal. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 2PM at Union Christian Church with visitation from 1 until 2pm at the church. Burial following in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Union Christian Church Building or Cemetery Fund. The familly extends an heartfelt thank you to his care givers, JoAnn Parr, Brenda Dixon and Carbie Epps.
