Reading memoirs of Scott's life are just a few of God's many blessings. Scott was a great man. Everyone that crossed his path has a story to share about the footprints he made in their lives. Those yesterdays are far gone, but the memories will remain alive in our hearts forever. I am honored to have been a part of Scott's journey in life.

Continued prayers of peace and comfort to you all during this difficult season in life.

Sincerely-

I met Scott in 1995 while working at an establishment in downtown Athens at 20 years old. Over the years, I would see Scott and talk with him. Scott was always so friendly. My wife finally met Scott at Lowe's just before we moved away from Athens, 9 years ago. Scott was on the plumbing isle on his hands and knees trying to see something on the bottom shelf. My wife thought I was going to get pounded after laughing at him and when Scott stood up and towered over us. We got a laugh out of that moment. Sincere condolences to all family and friends.

Me, and Family are sending our thoughts and prayers to his wife, and little girl. To his sweet mom, and step-dad, brother, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, friends, and classmates. Scott was a gentle giant but he was tough on the football field for the CHS Tigers, GA Bulldogs, and all the NFL teams he was on. He loved his family, friends, GA bulldogs, CHS Tigers and they all loved him back. he made Lake City, FL proud ! He will be missed especially his great smile. See you on the flipside. I hope you have fun reuniting with your relatives in heaven. Please watch over all of us.

I was a unior in high school when I first met two giant freshmen,One was Clint Polite and the other was Big Scott.Scott was a gentle person off the football field but once he stepped across thewhite lines he changed. He became a beast of an offensive lineman.Scott will be greatly missed by all who knew him.To his family,I say cry for him but remember he is truly in a better place. When you think you cannot carry on because of greif and sadness, please think of the good times you shared with him. When you have pain in your heart please remember him when you feel the gentle breeze that touches you when no one is around.Scoot will be looking down from Heaven and watching you as you carry on with your life.My one prayer request is that the Good Lord Look after and hold each and every one of his family at this time.MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

Although it has been many years since the last time I saw Scott the memories are as fresh as yesterday. My first memory of Scott is being a classmate of mine in Mrs. Cannon's Kindergarten Class. I laugh now thinking of him pleading with me not to tell on him for pushing me out of the swing. Of course, I will always remember him being one of the great football players of our graduating class of 1984. It is so hard to believe we have lost another classmate at such a young age. I pray God will be with his family during these trying days, weeks, and months ahead of them. God bless you all.

Scott,
You were a Pro's Pro. I coached you from the defensive side of the ball in your NFL career.
Your effort, intelligence and character was as good as there was in the league. Those characteristics were examples to all on and off of the field.
You will be missed.

Tishara and family - Words will never express how much Scott meant to so many people. I met him, Troy and Bill in their senior year at UGA when I became a secretary in the football office. As a matter of fact, they were the first UGA players I met as I started to work. I will always remember the jokes and good times we had as we walked down the hall after practice many afternoons. Those 3 boys (men) were the biggest men I had ever seen and then found out that they had a bigger heart to share with others. My son, Ron, would always tell me when he ran across Scott at different places. You and your precious daughter must be wonderful people as I am sure that the 2 of you were the twinkles in his eyes. I wish I had a chance to meet you. My wishes, prayers and thoughts are with your family as you go through this time of sadness. God bless y'all and I am sure that God was standing at the door to welcome "Big" Scott to his new home. See you in Heaven!!
