Gone but not forgotten. You brought such joy and laughter into our homes and hearts. My kids could watch your performances and I needn't worry what was said and done.God has you now, and may you rest in peace George ( GOOBER).
Bless the family who mourns the loss.
Love you.

As a young newspaper reporter in 1981, I met George Lindsey when he visited Clarksville, Tenn., to attend an event at Austin Peay State University. He was a kind man who gave freely of his time, and it meant the world to this wet-behind-the-ears reporter. My time with him was among the highlights of my journalism career. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of this great man and decent human being.

I have always enjoyed watching Goober on T.V. and loved hearing him say "Judy Judy Judy" now that I live in rural Alabama I often hear noises from the birds that sound like they are saying "Judy". It makes me think of Goober! He was a good actor & very funny, may he rest in peace. May the love & peace of God sustain his family & friends.

We loved his impersonation of Cary Grant on the Andy Griffith Show. We will never forget Goober smiling and saying,"Judy, Judy, Judy...."! It was a classic scene.Rest in Peace Mr. Lindsey.
