As we watched the incredible fly over Saturday in Fullerton, I thought to myself that you would have, by now, given the angels some of your best flying tips. Your many talents will serve God well in creation.
Your sister, Barbara

"Oh What a Friend We Have in Jesus "was a favorite song of ours at church and Dad belted it out! I am so thankful for the fellowship last Saturday at the memorial. What a wonderful group of admirers for our dad.
Dear Uncle Don,
You would have loved your memorial!!! It was done so well and the true you came thru. The highlight was seeing everyone and the fly by was just incredible. I will really miss you and very much appreciate how you always opened your home to me and the family.
I know you're with the Lord. Love, Peter
Dear Uncle Don,
Missing you today.
You were great. It's been a great pleasure getting to know you over the past 3 years. Although our friendship was short, you made a great impression on me and you are no doubt a friend I will remember for life. You were always a gracious host, entertaining, up-to-date with lots of great stories to share. You cracked me up all the time Don. Thanks for the laughs. Thanks for always welcoming me and thank you for being there for me through the tough times. I'll miss you a great deal.
It was a great pleasure knowing you and sharing hunting stories with each other. Your constant invitations for dinner and parties has been a great pleasure in our lives. We will think of you often.
We know that you are with God.

I will miss our Sunday and Tuesday night dinners. All the times I have spent with you and kay, playing games, planing 4th of July and super bowl parties, redecorating your walls to fit all your pictures and animal heads. You are a large part of my life, and I will miss you greatly. Now I don't have anyone to smoke cigars with. You have been a great and helpful friend over the years, and you will be sorely missed. We all love and admire you. We will keep you in our hearts forever.
To remember the man
The good and great of him --
The many fun times with his friends and
Family gathered --
The dialogues, the sharings --
All these wonderful memories serve to keep Don alive in me
And I am blessed
It was an honor knowing you. You are a generous, special person. We will always miss you. We take comfort knowing that you are healed and with the Lord.

Don was a great friend and gentleman. He would give you the shirt off his back. He would generously loan family and friends cars from his personal fleet of vehicles. He was well read and his knowledge of religon, politics and law guaranteed an interesting and lively dinner conversation over his wife's delicious Sunday night meals. I will miss Don's friendship, phone calls, sense of humor and good advice. I will cherish all of the memories of the good times we had as he opened his house for parties with family and friends.
Dear Don, I miss your phone calls and your positive outlook. Thank you for your love and friendship to my grandson, Asher. He told me he got his love of guns from you. I know you are in a much better place. Barbara
The world is a worse place with you not in it. Thank you for being my dear uncle who loved me. Love you. Missing you.
Don was the first pilot to greet me when I arrived at a 99's reception for me at Marie Christensen's home in Anaheim Hills in 1978. I was the new Accident Prevention Spec with the FAA and my car had drowned out due to heavy rain. A Highway patrolman gave me a ride, and the rotating beacon to clear the way attracted Don's attention. We remained best friends ever after. What a GUY! Paul Stebelton
We celebrated our birthdays together, and Kay's terrific meal.
Always a pleasure to visit the Gladsons. Don would ask guestions, and watch you squirm to try to answer. He was truly a great friend, and will be missed so much. Elaine
You were always my favorite Uncle Don, loved all the time I spent at your house. You taught me how to sit and "Watch" people. Love You
I wish to express my deepest gratitude to Don, for the blessing of our daughters, Adrienne and Andrea, for choosing Kay. Together they gave me an open invitation into their home. God is so good.
It was a pleasure working with Don at Challenge Dairy, he was such a kind hearted gentle man, he never had a bad thing to say about anyone. I often thought of Don once he retired, I only wish I had acted on those thoughts and dropped him a "hello" via email. He would talk quite a bit with me about his grand daughters Catherine and Elizabeth as those are also my daughters' names. Don you will be missed, but not forgotten.
Dad, thank you for sharing my passion for major league baseball and my love for the Halos. Plus, I will also be careful driving my car somewhere. Love, Adrienne
Love you Dad ! Thanks for all the wonderful memories and passing our love of airplanes onto me.
