I am John's 5th cousin, once removed.
John Rodgers Miller (1931 - 2014)
Myrl Gertrude Rodgers (1899 - 1989)
Hamilton John 'Hamie' Rodgers (1870 - 1927)
William A Rodgers (1833 - 1923) and Mary Elizabeth Rodgers (1837 - ?) who were 2nd cousins

William's ancestry is:
Robert Rodgers (1811 - 1844)
Hamilton Rodgers (1758 - 1844)

Elizabeth's ancestry is:
Hamilton Rodgers (1808 - 1883)
Benjamin Rodgers (1772 - 1849)

Hamilton Rodgers (1726 - 1807) was the father of Benjamin (1772), Hamilton (1758), and William (1750). He came to America in 1729 with his parents who both sometime before Hamilton and his young brother arrived to the Gettysburg, PA area.

The line to me:
William Rodgers (1750 - 1824)
John Rodgers (1777 - 1866)
Randolph Rodgers (1821 - 1860)
William Baird 'Willie' Rodgers (1859 - 1946)
Austin Asa Rodgers (1897 - 1983)
Herbert 'Herb' Earl Rodgers (1931 - 2008) my father

I wish Joan and their descendants well. Realize that John will never be forgotten because our family tries to keep them alive by studying and writing about them.

I adored my Uncle John. He was kind, fun, funny, compassionate, and loving. He was always there for me to answer a medical question, to offer a hug and a wonderful smile whenever I needed him. I will miss him so much.
