John was a spirited individual. I had the privilege to both work alongside of him on a tour "Ice Mystique" in Hong Kong. I also lived with him on that tour and began a relationship. John always knew how to have fun and we became independent. We were an unlikely pair, however we honestly just clicked. I have the luxury of meeting his entire immediate family as well as his beautiful daughter Audrey. John you are very missed. I only hope that in heaven you are set free of all your bondages and difficulties. You deserve a special place up there and one day I know I'll get to see you again. We can start over right where we left off. I never stopped loving you, you will always be in my prayers. As well as your family.
Love,

I am another who saw Mr. Simanton on a King of Queens episode and, caught by his charisma, began looking for more of his work online. I am so sorry his family and friends have to do without him, I bet he was just the greatest guy!

We had some good times Jon. I miss those. And you were always so generous with the kids. I still have your voice mails on my phone and I look at our pix often. Till we meet again my friend!

What I loved about Jon is that he was REAL .. A real person who told it like it was
He seemed to tell it like it is not many people are original but he was . I was sad years ago when I heard that he passed away
God Bless you Jon . I know you're in a better place with the Lord and Our blessed Mother Mary. The stuff in life that a lot of us go through that is hell itself is no longer a problem for you .
I wish I had known Jon personally it would have been so cool and fun to be his friend .
RIP Dude
All the love Jon

I didn't know Jon had died. Just looked him up because I was talking about the King of Queens episode (he stole the show, of course). I'm so sorry he is gone.

I only found out about Jonathan's passing recently. I met him 35 years ago when his mom and mine (Maggie Thomas) were friends. He was always a great guy with a smile on his face! He made me laugh all the time. Liliana, you have my and my mother's condolences.

Jon. I could not have asked for a better brother in law. Thank you for always putting a smile on my face and accepting me for who I am. I think you had no small part in Abby and I getting together and her becoming the love of my life. You always made me laugh dude. I have so many great memories in my life with you and always had fun whenever we had a chance to catch up. I will see you again one day, a long time from now, and we will stay up all night playing pai gow and solving the world's problems. You made an impression on people's lives and you will be missed bro.

I am surprised to be writing this post! Knew Jon for many years & we used to hang out all the time. Not seeing him so much in the past decade + but
our paths crossed so many times since I can't count! You'll be missed buddy!

I knew Jon from his first day at Brookhaven Elementary all the way through EDHS. He was an amazing man. He had a great sense of humor and made everyone laugh. You should be proud of the man he was. I am very sorry for your loss.

I knew Jon from the time we were both in Jr High School. Meeting through LPA & both living in Orange County we instantly became friends. We were there to support each other when we needed it & to get together often just for fun! I can't even recall how often there were epic parties thrown at the Simanton house. But many more times it was just me, going over & hanging out with all Jon's sisters, Jon showing me how to play drums (which I still play but now electric) and learning from Jon that I should try to surf & ski or try anything because being little, or even the very tiny kind of little we were couldn't keep us from doing the same thing as everyone else. It was a wonderful time, the years I used to spend hanging out with Jon. Then I moved away & lost contact, but he really helped me become a more confident person in many ways & he when he was at his best could be very inspiring. I am so thankful I had that time with him & will always cherish those memories. He will be missed very much.

I'm still shocked that I'm leaving a message about Jon in this post. In the 23 years I have known Jon he always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude. We always had a good time whatever we did. He also took good care of my kids, surprising them with concert tickets and such. There wasn't anything he loved more then Audrey. We were making plans for dinner with friends when I heard of his passing. I can speak for all of when I say we are heartbroken. RIP my sweet friend. See you on the other side and say hi to Tommy.
