Bonnie,
We only recently learned of Marv's death. We are so sorry. May the God of all comfort strengthen you. We remember our days together in the Back to God Hour Radio Choir. Wonderful memories. Interestingly, Bas and I visited Trinity Church shortly after Easter, while staying in Santa Ana. I know Doug through Tyndale House. We may even have seen each other. Blessings to you. Marv was a distinguished teacher-scholar but even moreso a distinguished human being--compassionate, supportive of colleagues (including those from neighboring universities), and a lover of peace and justice. I will miss him.

Bonnie, I want to send my personal condolances to you and your family! You may remember me from Calvin College days and your teaching at Sylvan Chr. days, where Dick taught to. We were so shocked and saddened about Marv's passing...way too young...our age! May you feel the love of God through the arms and words of others. pat geels oostenink Grand Rapids MI
