Uncle Nero will be missed. I remember the times going up the driveway to visit them because I was bored. RIP. Love and miss you.

My deepest and most sincere condolences to the Family and friends of a wonderful person, Nero Roy. He has touched my heart with his kindness during the times I talked with him. I will greatly miss him.

Uncle Nero was always a part of my life. Edie was my mom's much-loved younger sister, and I was told the picnic where Nero and Edie met was held the day I was born. It was quite a romance.

I don't recall a major family gathering later on without Nero, his wry, dry sense of humor, and his sometimes wildly honky-tonk style of piano playing.

Once Nero came with his camera for a visit just after I'd moved in to a new home (not built by him). I'd been cleaning. He said I didn't look like myself without make-up and hairdo - both true and hilarious - and he took no photos that day. We laughed about it all. It's one of my funny-favorite memories of Nero.

He lived his life as expected in the times into which he was born - family, service to country and community, and as he aged often reminded me of his own father. Both good men who "hung in there" over time, while finding ways to do some things as the song goes: "I did it my way" - God rest you, Uncle Nero, and may you and Aunt Edie continue on together.
