On September 20th, at just about 5 bells, Dad's patch-covered, beat-up life raft cast away its rusty pitted anchor, and as his battered hull was freed from the earthly bonds that chained it here, he traded up for a spectacularly beautiful vessel, and with the sails trimmed perfectly, Dad easily grasping the helm and his angels standing proudly beside him, he set his next course for his final port: HEAVEN.

Dad, I am looking forward to the day when we reunite, where God has a bottomless bucket list, and we will share in the adventures that Jesus has planned for us for all eternity. Amen, and AMEN!!!

I love you, Dad, always have, always will. XOXOXOXOXOXOX

Dear Family and Friends,
Upon my return from Asia today October 2, 2013, a painful sorrow enveloped my world as I learned the news my dear friend Bob Doezie
had passed. Sandy and family, I am so sorry and yet blessed to have known
the gentle piano playing friend of Balboa Island as my friend. He was a friend
of 25 years though 31 years my senior. We connected immediately and his nature was so genuine and sweet I thought of him so highly as a dear friend.
My heart is broken for your extended family as I mourn the loss of a great soul and one of my hero's.

Dear Sandy and Family ~ It was such a lovely service today in honor of Bob. May the days ahead bring you peace in recalling your memories of his sweetness, kindness and love for all of you.
