Slater, Scott David, known to family and friends as "Mic" passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2017. Scott was born born February 13, 1972 in Okinawa, grew up in Huntington Beach, CA and attended Edison High School. He moved to the Sacramento area in 2002 to be with his folks, Gale and Milo Pearson.
Growing up, Scott and Gale were an inseparable team. He also loved watching movies with Milo, fishing with Patrick and volunteering with his mom. "Mic" loved his extended family, both near and far, Nascar, the Buffalo Bills, Friday the 13th, writing music and old school stand up comedy. He had an uncanny knack for welcoming not only stray cats but people too. Scott could brighten the day with his contagious smile.
Survived by his additional family of Michael Charles Slater and Patrick Ronald McMahon and numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was deeply dedicated to his grandparents, David Lee Goldsworthy (deceased) and Lucille Pletcher Goldsworthy. Scott's chosen family of "Bro's" along with Larry, Sid and Flip Flop will deeply miss his caring nature and quirky humor.
If considering a donation in memory of Scott, Gale and Milo suggest the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc (NCADD.org) or any charity of your choice.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Gale & Milo, you are in my thoughts, prayers and in my heart. I don't have words to help you endure your heartbreak, just know I love you. I didn't get to see Scott enough in recent years, but will remember the way he always drew a big smile from anyone he came up to. He just radiated good humor, caring and big smiles. I wish I was near by to be there for you. Keeping you in my heart. With much love, Diane
