Always remembered. With love, your brother Ed

A very special memorial service in July at Bill's house with family and friends gathering. With love always, your brother Ed.

Beautiful obituary for a beautiful spirit. Heaven is so much brighter with her in it.

I think of you often! You are missed!

How sad to think of this world without you in it. I will miss you always, my dear friend. You, and memories of you will always make me smile.

Cheryl will forever be in my memories for the effervescent tone in her voice and her no-holds-barred positive outlook on life. Cheryl and I shared a passion for the Garden as a place of beauty and a place for introspection. Cheryl's unflagging support and devotion to my brother Bill is equaled only by Bill's mutual feelings toward her and will continue, I suspect, for a long, long time to come. At this moment I am willing to bet Cheryl is tending the Garden in the heavenly hereafter patiently waiting for the day Bill will join her.

The best stories are best left out of print (true for most well lived lives, I imagine). In the years just out of high school, I passed a lot of time with Cheryl while Janice and I made the scene with our pack of long-haired "freak" friends. Great parties, hilarious times. Cheryl had the best smile, the best laugh, and while she could be as sarcastic as Janice describes, it was never a mean thing. It was just, "Gawd (we said that a lot), can you believe life works life this?"
If she was 18 today, she probably would have been saying, "I know, right?" a whole lot.
Hanging in the hotel room that was set up for the press prior to the Alice Cooper concert at the speedway, and drinking the bar dry. Attending parties at the Thunderbird School of Internaitonal Management put on by the student clubs. The night we had the party just after Doug went to the hospital with a busted head from work, and Janice and Cheryl took a cassette player around and interviewed people standing up, falling down, and flat on the lawn. The usual pranks by kids that stick with them the rest of their lives. May your soul fly free, girl.

Cheryl was the very first friends that I met ...in an online hummingbird room 5 years ago. We were also FB friends too. I immediately was drawn to her loving nature and we shared a lot of joys, sorrows, and laughs!! I will miss her forever. My condolences to her family and friends. xo <3

My Sweet Cheryl, I think about you every day, it's so hard to believe that you are gone. Thank you for the roses, I know that was you. Always so thoughtful of others, you will be deeply missed by anyone who knew you. I was so lucky to have you for my friend for 40 years. Love always, Barbie

It seems unthinkable that Cheryl is gone. When we first moved to Portland, Cheryl and Bill were our neighbors, and they quickly became our friends. Their friendship made our new town seem like home. Cheryl was a beautiful, smiling, laughing person with a generous heart and plenty of love to give.

Cheryl, we will always miss you and we will never forget you. Bill, our hearts go out to you. Much love always, Cindy
