David was a joy to work with. He had much energy and was always positive, helpful and patient. He was also a good friend outside of school-- playing baseball, helping with my home computer , sharing Math Conferences, .... I'm so glad to have had him for my colleague and friend . David touched many lives.

I worked with David for many years at LCC math department. He was a warm and caring person. His openness and humor made it a pleasure to work with him. He will remain a bright spot.

David was a great friend and hiking companion, travel buddy. A man of integrity, endless good humor, always seeking the answer, the taste, the surprise. Too good at chess and Scrabble. First class friend. RIP.
