Uncle Ed will always be one of my heroes. He had the most awesome smile. Except for my own father I wanted to be like Uncle Ed when I was growing up. I remember like it was yesterday when he took some of us kids to see the movie Miracle of the White Stallions, taking us with him to the old Prairie Market and to watch them raise the center span of the Fremont Bridge. He was an awesome man and I will always have him ln my heart.

Papa Ed is a grandfather, and father who is deeply missed. I have many fond memories of my grandfather who loved his wife and children unconditionally. His support and love for his grandchildren

I knew my Father-in-law for nearly 50 years. I can honestly say he was the kindest human being I've ever known. Examples: He told me to rent the little house after Karin married, (he thought my rent was to high elsewhere) we stayed with Mom and Dad (Ed and Grace) with our little babies, Michelle and Jeremy when our home was being built. I always had a great relationship and soooo many wonderful memories. Ed and Grace always made you feel welcome. My life changed so much when I began to spend time with a family who loved God as much as each other. Ed was the silent leader and Grace the enforcer. It was the perfect love that attracted all of us in the Family to be better people and I can honestly say I still feel it today!
This past week has been emotional for me because I feel a part of my life is gone but that's just me. I can smile every time I think about Mom and Dad Fitzgerald reunited again and FOREVER!
I will particularly miss trying to convince you Dad that golf on TV was a real sport!
I love you so much,
Mike
