Uncle Frank was our dad's favorite "little" brother. The two couples enjoyed much time both in Oregon, and in Maine. And the brothers resembled each other quite a bit later in life.
I remember how much Uncle Frank enjoyed tending to his blueberry bushes.
He and Aunt Jean were always easy to be around and fun. He had a love of life which showed in his eyes.

I so wanted to attend the service this afternoon, but I am snowed in out here in Scappoose and can't venture out. I worked with Frank in Capitol and Olive Test Centers. He was a dedicated craftsman..(and expected everyone else to do their best also) He was a long time member of the Milwaukie Elks, and the years we worked at Olive Office, if we worked hard, and behaved ourselves he would take us out to lunch at the Milwaukie Elks for our birthdays. (He would never take anyone that wouldn't be respectful of his club), which at that time was the fastest growing Elks Club in the United States, and he was very proud of his membership there. The Elks served wonderful lunches and dinners at that time. And it was a special treat to have Frank invite us.
Frank had a wry sense of humor and was a great friend. I still make the cabbage roll recipe he gave me. Thank you for your friendship, and making work so much more pleasant.

Frank was probably my favorite uncle. He taught me the value of a dry sense of humor. And inspired me to work a full thirty years at the phone company like he did.

I worked with Frank in the Milwaukie Central Office. I remember his quick wit as well as his test-board knowledge. But foremost, I remember his kindness. Rest in peace Frank.
