We met Frank and Sue while stationed in the US Air Force at RAF Mildenhall, England,in 1969. They lived in New Market and we lived not far away in Cheveley. We rented a house with a one acre over grown garden that we were trying to civilize when Frank and Sue came strolling through the garden one Sunday to welcome us to life in England. I had previously met Sue at an Officer's Wives Club luncheon. Frank was big and affable with a hearty laugh and embraced us with mirth and friendship that continued for 45 years. When our daughter, Suzanne, became a paralegal, he hired her to work in his Portland office. When he and Sandy traveled he bought his airline tickets from me at the travel agency where I worked in Portland.

Many good times, much laughter and a bushel of fond memories.

My condolences to Sandy, Mike, and Katie.

Just found out thru the ole Gresham grapevine that Frank had passed. Really sorry to hear this and my thoughts and condolences to Sandy, Mike and Katie. I met Frank, Sue and the kids in about 1973 when I was barely a teenager and they all had just moved down the street from us in Gresham. Frank had an immediate affect on everyone around him and an especially big one on me. Two words and a number - New Mexico 1981. That was the turning point in my life - because of Frank. Will always remember you.

You touched our lives, my wife's and mine. You befriended me and encouraged me as I was undergoing physical therapy following a total knee replacement surgery. You cheered for me when I passed a "milestone" on my recovery. You were someone whom people took an instant liking to, you were kind, considerate, and an enjoyable person to be around. Thank you for the all too brief a friendship. John Barton and Judy Barton.
