Dean and I were ATO's. I went to Grant. Some of us fondly called him Grandma. He was a great competitor and I enjoyed playing golf with him. He will be missed by many.
If we needed a 1st down, or key play, even in life we could always rely on you. You will be missed as a great friend and teammate...Roger Williams
We both loved you... and Keith still wants "Strokes"!!
Karole Lucas Allen....and Ron.
Dean was a great uncle and I truly enjoyed my stays at the family home in Vancouver. His cool old car with the rumble seat and nights playing golf after the course was clear at Royal Oaks. I will miss you uncle Dean.
I remember those high school days well over 60 years ago, watching that blue and gold Jefferson football team from the sidelines. Anderson, Atherton, Coulson, Wells, Goodell, Gilbert, Malget, Hammerlie, and Dean Burch trying to master Waldorf's single wing. They weren't the champions, but they sure played like they were...tough and proud. These men exhibited that Jeff spirit throughout their lives.
Dean was no exception, but his personal caring and loyalty to his friends will mark his legacy.
I will miss you Dean, but not forget you.
GREAT GUY. YOU'LL BE MISSED. MANY HOLES IN ONE AND EAGLES AT THE GREAT GOLF COURSE ABOVE. DICK BAILEY-JEFF '51
My kindest thoughts to Mary, and all of the children from both families. Dean brought so many of us together, and was a close friend through High School and our later years. Golf and football remained a strong presence with Dean, and I will miss our passion for sports and life from Mazatlan to San Diego, and Portland. An 80 year run is pretty strong, and he played it well. Cheers, Mack Wiebe
