Greg was one of my best friends in late elementary and all of junior high school. Two other buddies and us all configured our 20 inch bikes with high handle bars, banana seats and painted them lime green. We would ride down the street in formation and had a favorite trail we like to ride down, off of Kiest, that had a dip at the bottom where would would fly and measure the longest jump. We played tennis all the time and eventually both played on the Brown tennis team. We rendezvoused at one of the Kimball reunions a few years ago and enjoyed hanging together that evening. Such a sad story for a great guy.
I just heard of Greg's passing, we were child hood friends age 6 till high school, he lived on the next street over and we were always playing together, Greg was always a stand up guy, with little brother Brad, sorry to see that he has passed also. Prayers to the family, I hate to see this, so long my friend
I was saddened today when I called for my yearly appointment to hear of Dr. Geary's passing. After having visited a few other vascular surgeons first about my rare vascular issue, he totally made me feel comfortable with his knowledge of my condition. He was funny, and very kind. I had to laugh a little at someone else's "shoot from the hip" comment...as I experienced that part of Dr. Geary myself...with a lot of laughs and excellent results. He will be truly missed by me.
Im so sorry to hear about the passing of Gregg. He is my first cousin and I have wonderful memories of the summers he spent with my family while he was in med school in Galveston. During our time on the lake waterskiing, he brought humor and fun to each outing. My prayers are with his family.
Dr. Geary will be greatly missed.
Greg was my surgeon beginning in 1991 and I was terrified. After spending a huge amount of time just talking to me, I knew he was my guy! He walked into the OR, asked me what kind of music I wanted and I responded "Frank Sinatra and Brooks & Dunn". I got what I wanted. Twice in the next few years I again needed his skilled hands and he again did his magic. Just recently I needed him again and was told, by him, that he was "stepping back and Dr. Alexander would fix me right up". I told him I wanted him to be there too and deep down, I now know he was. My surgery was this past Friday, the 23rd of August 2013. Two days later I was speaking to my RN and she just looked at me and said "you don't know do you?" And then she told me! Sad does not express my feelings but after thinking about it, his smile, laughter and sense of humor came to me and I could stop crying and smile. He was so much more than a fantastic surgeon, he was a GENTLE,kind, loving man who won my respect years ago. I will miss him greatly and I send my deepest heartfelt love and respect and condolences to his family and staff at NW Vascular. RIP Dr. Geary. You left this world a better place.
My sincere condolences to the Geary family and his staff. I just learned today of his passing when I called for an appointment. Losing a trusted, caring and compassionate doctor is so hard. He was too young to go.
I loved his "Shoot from the Hip" style. He was courageous in the fight with Cancer. He clearly loved his profession and was one of the best Vascular surgeons in the NW, You are already missed Greg

We were saddened to learn of Dr. Geary's passing when we visited the office yesterday. He saved my husband's life twice with his skillful carotid surgeries. We trusted him completely and will miss him terribly. My husband's second surgery was pushed off until about 10 o'clock at night due to emergencies. When I asked Dr. Geary if he was too tired to do the surgery and if he wanted to wait until morning, he said, "not a problem - we will get your husband fixed up tonight." Our deepest condolences to his family and office staff. Joe & Kathy Loveland
Dr.Geary bright smile and compassion, could not have had a better person as a doctor. Prayers to your family ??
We wanted to share our condolences and warm thoughts to Dr.Geary's family and colleagues. Besides being a fantatic surgeon, he was a warm human being and always in good humor when we met him. His observant care caught a heart condition early and probably helped save my husband's life..certainly extended it!! He will remain in our hearts forever.
I am so sadden with the passing of Dr. Geary. He was the best surgeon for both my husband and me. He made you feel as if you were the only person who needed his help and help you he did. Rest in pease Dr. Geary. We miss you. Our condolences to his family.

Sincerest condolences to Greg's dear family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. He was an amazing man and surgeon.
I wanted to send my condolences to the Geary family. I worked with Dr Geary at St Vincent Hospital for the past 31 years and I remember him not only as a respected surgeon but a kind person to patients and staff alike. I asked him to be my dad's surgeon when he needed vascular surgery and he did a great job for my dad. I will say my prayers for the family at this difficult time.
I had the pleasure of being one of Dr. Geary's patients. I first met him in 2007 and while I never looked forward to the surgeries, I knew I was in good hands with this awesome man. He seemed like an extraordinary person. My condolences to the family.
My thoughts are with all of the members of Dr. Geary's family. I had the privilege of working with Dr. Geary as an ICU nurse in the 1980's. His zest for operating and his zest for life will always be remembered. He was ever present to skillfully care for his patients. He shared such joy with those around him. Great man, brilliant surgeon and someone who really cared. He will be missed.
Dr. Geary was my mothers doctor in 1992. She had complications of diabetes. Dr. Geary saw her not only in his
office but came to see her wherever she resided such as in nursing homes. I remember the wonderful care he gave my mother. While my mother died in 1992, I have never forgotten Dr. Geary. I am sorry to learn he has passed away.
My sincere thoughts and prayers to his wife, daughters and family.
May you be at peace. You will be missed always.
Dr Geary was my surgeon and he was the nicest doctor that I ever met. He used to come in to visit me in the hospital every day that he was there, just to say hi. I have a huge distrust for doctors, but I would (and did) have trusted my life with him. I'm so sorry for his family's loss and they will be in my prayers.
Dr. Geary was a delight to work with. He passed way too young. We will miss him.
It saddens me to hear of Dr. Geary's death. He faced cancer with strength of spirit and body. I enjoyed working with him and his wife in the OR and he will be missed by all. My prayers are with the family.
