So sorry to hear of this. Many condolences for the family. I remember Jay as intelligent, generous and a very good cook. RIP

I had the honor of first meeting Jay in 2001, and then working for him at Oregon State Treasury from 2008 until his retirement in 2014. We quickly evolved from co-workers to great friends. After working together all week, we spent so many weekends away together hunting, fishing and clam digging, that my wife started calling him "the other woman." Jay had the best investment instincts of anyone I have ever met in the industry, but more importantly, was one of the best men I have ever known. He was wise, kind, fun-loving, had a genuine concern for others, and was my good and true friend. I will miss him more than words can express.

Kerrie and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I first met Jay in 2000 through Oregon Treasury's investment in one of our programs. He was a kind and good man, friendly and direct...it was always a pleasure to work with him. May he rest in peace and may your memories of him help you through this difficult time.
