I am sorry to do this but I was looking on the wrong calendar month and this sight doesn't let me delete my entries. I actually had my hole in one on August 23, 2013 not August 27, 2013 as I indicated in the previous post. The picture was taken August 18, 2013..............And I can think of only one reason I must of made the hole in one!!!!!!

Having played for Jack in youth baseball, basketball and football, I reflect even to this day on the success achieved then and how that has translated throughout the rest of my life today. The ability to pursue excellence given your desire and heart to achieve it. Nothing is accomplished by just showing up, you have got to want to earn it through devotion of practicing("perfect practice).

He had a great heart and spent as much time as one needed to achieve their best (hitting drills, shooting drills, passing drills, etc).

I wish he could of taught me golf as well as it took me 41 years to hit a hole in one.

David, Jeff, Mark and John and Isabelle, my condolences and prayers are with you all as your father and husband was a great influence on how turned out who I am today. Thank you for sharing his heart.

Jack was the Division Manager when I was hired in Western Sales, North Pacific Lumber in 1980. He was one tough, strict but fair manager. I had the experience of being interviewed by Jack. His passion for the company and industry was admirable. I am sorry for your loss.

Our families didn't see each other often, but when the Spokane/Portland area cousins did connect, it was always a good visit with Jack and Isabelle, we never felt like strangers. They are good people. Thinking of Jack today and sending prayers to Isabelle, Karen, Marilyn, Phyllis, and their families.

Always there to throw extra batting practice or open up the gym for extra shooting - it's hard not to think back on my childhood without a smile and memories of Jack. He always said "Sports are played with your heart first" - coach McLaughlin had one of the biggest of them all . . .

While saddened by Jack's passing, know that he had a lasting influence on many of us who had the privilege to call him coach.

Holding Phil's Claret jug trophy on Aug 22, 2013 and on August 27, 2013 I got my hole in one. Jack must have been looking down from heaven that day.
