JP, you will be greatly missed. You were the Snackmaster! Always willing to eat my goodies I brought to work. You made good stuff too like little smokies in a blanket for trading. I know you will be watching over the girls and smiling down on them. be careful on that longboard, no running over the angels! My thoughts are with the family.

Oh John. Your physical presence was such a gift to so many. The spirit of your presence will carry on. You will be missed, my friend!

John and I became friends in fifth grade at Wilsonville School. Although I didn't live on Montgomery Lane, I was just up the hill, which was a short, but treacherous trip through the neighbor's cow pasture. John, Jane and I had so much fun on the river and exploring in the woods.

John was nothing short of brilliant, so much fun, a trickster, and just a great friend. I only saw John once after high school, and I regret not trying to get the old gang together. To those of you who knew him as an adult, it doesn't surprise me that he impacted your lives the way he did. Truly an extra-special person who is already and will continue to be greatly missed.

John,
It's with a heavy heart that I'm posting this message to your obituary. I had no idea until yesterday what you and your family were going through. Despite being sad, I'm happy that I had the opportunity to know you.

I vividly recall you helping me out my first day at Wilsonville School back in 1976. I was a shy and nervous kid back then and didn't know what to expect; you showed me around the school and introduced me to your friends. You made a difference.

I'll always remember you as being smart, witty and having a great sense of humor. I still laugh today when I think about some of the hilarious pranks we pulled so long ago. Especially funny were your impressions of your classmates and some of the nicknames you gave them.

Despite your challenges, you never felt sorry for yourself. Instead, you selflessly inspired those around you with your courage. Every time I hear the song "Live Like You Were Dying", I'll think of you and your family.

Thanks for being my friend.

Thanks for the memories, JP. I hear you were in good spirits all the way to the end, and for that I'm grateful. My thoughts are with your family during this difficult time. RIP, my friend.
