I met Dr.Leimert in Oct.1980.I had testicular carcinoma that had spread to my lungs and abdomen.I am still here today because of Tom's experimental chemo that he dispensed from the basement of a house on Weidler st. tom was an amazing oncologist and man. I am enjoying my kids and grandchildren because Dr. Leimert said we would grow old together. Thank you sir

To Tom's Family. Thanks for sharing Dr. Leimert, Kaiser Oncologist from my 1985 Ovarian Cancer surgery through 2008 my last annual CA125 test. He, a special person, cared about us. I especially appreciated the relaxed waiting room with comfortable chairs and a card table waiting with a jigsaw puzzle to be worked. His expertise in talking to me and explaining in layman terms helped me during a trying time. Dr. Leimert, you a beautiful soul, are truly missed.
I am blessed to have brushed elbows with you.

I was so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I feel so fortunate to have taken Bikram yoga classes from him over the course of a couple of years. As others have said here, I made special effort to attend classes when Tom was teaching because of how wonderful he was. His kindness, wit and love of life shone through every single time and those 90 minute sessions with him were often the highlight of my day.

My thoughts are with his family and friends as they deal with the loss of this amazing man.

Being a former patient, I owe my life
to him. He was my doctor, counselor
and friend for several years until his
retirement. My condolences to his family.
