My condolences and best wishes to the Armentrout family. Mr. Armentrout was a true American hero, and it was an honor to know him. I only wish as a boy that I had gotten to know him better when we were neighbors. Reading his book many years later, I was awestruck by his experiences as a B-24 bomber pilot during World War II. Seeing him at the Evergreen Air Museum was so many years later was an experience I will always treasure.

Best wishes from Scott Brainerd and family

To Marjorie:
I am so sorry to hear of Paul's passing. He saved my life more than once, and for that I'm greatful. I was on his radio operator in WWII and flew all 30 missions with him. Our air crew were very close with each other back then. Paul was our lead pilot in our group. Everybody respected him and I loved him and will miss him very much.

I knew Paul from the Evergreen Aviation Museum. He was always a friendly face when on FRidays. His book on his WWII B-24 missions is a great tribute to him and all who flew with him.
