I still miss you, Dick. I think about you often, especially as we get close to the day we lost your physical presence forever. God bless you and keep you always. I shall always miss the good times we had together at your beautiful home and in the backyard, watching the dogs play, or watching football together while the dogs slept.

I do not have the right words to express how dear my friendship was with Dick. Since his passing, I've told others about how kind he was, how we would watch football together and he'd patiently explain to me calls and referee signs I didn't understand when I'd interrupt with questions, then how when my dog and Goldie played, Victor would dig small holes in Dick's backyard and upset me. Dick would just say, "Oh, that's OK. I'll just fill it in and re-seed it." Just little samples of what a great guy he was. I shall miss Dick forever.

Dick was our wonderful neighbor for 32 years. His garden, his pets and OSU sports were always great topics of conversation. I don't think there was a more loyal OSU fan. It seems inconceivable that the "Archie Bunker of Hancock Street," as he once described himself, is no longer a part of our block or in the fabric of our lives.

Having only met Dick in 2011 at a reunion of all Grantonians, I found him to be delightful. A mutual friend arrived with Dick & had a great day. I just now learned of his passing & sending my sincere condolences to family & friends.

Dick was such a sweetheart, I had waited on him for many years at the Pagoda, Poor Richards and then at Chen's Dynasty. I and others were trying to find him as he was missed for a couple weeks at the watering hole. we are all truley sorry for your loss, and he is truley missed.
