George was a hoot! I recall chatting with him prior to a hunting trip. Asking what he was going after, he replied, Turkeys. When the group return to work the following week, I asked what they brought home. It seems they sat in the tree blind for hours never seeing turkeys. Finally, giving up they prepared to leave only to find that under that blind, and invisible to them, was an entire group of the birds that took off the minute they picked up on the descending men. Rest in Peace George, your sense of humor will be missed.
I will always remember, and tell stories of, the time when George and Randy visited our farm in the rainforest in southern Belize. I was only 10 or 12 but remember how happy my Mom & Dad were to have them visit and will always remember how funny George was!
I will miss the kindness and consideration George gave to all employees of the Akerman firm. He was a most gracious man and will always be remembered that way.
