Today I thought of you as I put my brother on a plane to go to Newport Rhode Island for OCS. I did not know you well, but I knew your wife. She is such a wonderful person, I don't think I have ever met anyone quite as kind hearted as her. My thoughts are always with her and your son. He is most adorable and they are both so lucky to have you as their angel.

Rest in peace and protect God's palace like you protected all of us in bootcamp at Great Lakes as our division leader. Your brothers from 295 will always remember you. You will always be in the hearts of the 84 recruits from that division. We will all meet again in heaven and march together as we did once with you ahead of our column with the sword in your hand leading us to success. God bless you Nevin, the best shipmate ever. Seaman Perez US Navy Reserve. Miami

We were in bootcamp together. He was our recruit chief petty officer for our division 295. He was a true leader and a hell of a sailor. My heart is broken. He was certainly the best of all of us and we always followed him troughout the whole training with confidence. What an extraordinary life has ended at such a young age. We will never forget you Nevin. You were the best. Tour son will be so proud of the father he had. My deepest condolences to all the family members. Seaman Adrian Perez from Miami Navy Reserve.
