I remembering hearing a radio program on WBLS in NY before Martin Luther King's birthday and he was a guest speaker. He just made you stand up and listen to the history of the plight and the fight.

Thank you for everything.

My condolences to the family

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Davis over 20 years ago. There is a metaphorical wisdom that he shared with on that day that was profound. What he told me was that his generation fought and succeeded to overcome the ignorance and bigotry that would not allow African Americans the FREEDOM to sit at any table chosen and have a meal. He elaborated that my generation would need to raise the bar to the next level. This would be accomplished by affording every African American the EQUALITY of resources and ability to get up after finishing that meal, walk across the street, and opening their own business.

Keep the faith Ruby.

Regards,
Gregory Davenport
