He was one of my favorite actors. I come from India and was raised by my grandpa-Ossie had the same qualities as him and more so resembled him in many ways.

My condolences to you and familay for this great loss.

To the family of Ossie Davis, I want to offer my sympathy. I have enjoyed watching both Ossie and Ruby Dee over the years and have been a big fan. My prayers go out to the entire family.

He was a very good actor. I enjoyed watching him. He will be sadly missed. My condolences to his family.

Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee go together like a hand in glove. The two are as one. We will greatly miss the hand of the glove such as is Ossie Davis. God will be with Ruby Dee and the family through this great loss.

After watching the movie and life of Dr. King just the other night, inwhich Mr Davis played the great role of Daddy King. I commented on how great he (Mr. Davis) played the part. Today as a man born and bread in GA and also having to hitch hike to college classes at a HBC&U, I am deeply sadden to learn of the death of such a great american. I may not have experienced some of the hardships and injustices of Mr Davis journey, however my heart goes out to his wife another great actress and american Miss Dee, in her hours or should I say all of our(we) hours of sorrow.
