Dad I miss you. You are loved and will always make me smile. I often think of the good times. Thank you Paul and everyone else for the kind words.

I don't know where to start, I heard the crushing news this afternoon and it ripped my heart out. Dave was a house hold name wile growing up, my mom (Margaret) and my dad (Vic) were good friends with Dave. I still remember Scenery Park Swimming pool in Chateauguay Quebec where us kids Jason, Susan, Tracy and myself would play. I remember Dave throwing pizzas on the ice when Jason and I played on the four aces hockey team.
I learned to ride my first dirt bike in Dave's front yard, at his house in Beaconsfield. I remember the trip Dave, Jason and I took to Lake George NY one summer, The trip to White Face Mountain skiing, the loving stories of Dave just go on, he will be missed so much. I have know Dave my entire life, but the most memorable event was the year I was married to my lovely wife Alison. My father had just passed away and I asked Dave if he would stand in for my dad, to say a few words in his place, that meant the world to me. So...for me to say Dave has been like a father to me would be an understatement, I regret not keeping in touch since in moved away from Que.

I will miss you.

Paul Tomlin

May the roads rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rain fall soft upon your fields
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.

I must have seen David just before he passed away. On a whim I went by his home and he met me at the door. Clearly he was not doing well so i waited to hear from him. We met under unusual circumstances and had many great conversations about business, mostly. I did not know anyone of his friends or associates so I have missed being notified of his passing. What a great guy, full of ideas and always wanting to engage me in some aspect of his business. I will miss you, David! All the best to Terry and the family.

I have only heard about David's passing today (Nov 15th) My memory of David..being in Owl's Head at my family's property with my father (Peter) harrassing myself and sister. The only way to get rid of us was for David to offer us $20.00 and in the 70's that was big money especially when you were all of 8-9 years old! He ripped the $20.00 and said when we had done our chores (or got lost) he would give us the other half. To this day I believe in his treasures is a half ripped $20.00 bill! He always made us laugh!
