Peacefully on Saturday September 7, 2013, age 91 years. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Ferguson) for 70 years. Dear father of Don (Susan) of Ottawa and Doug (Bonnie) of Maple Ontario. Cherished grandfather of Daniel, Marc (Rachel), Julie; Kyle, Kara, Quinlan and great-grandfather of Julianne. Predeceased by four brothers. Private family funeral arrangements. Memorial donations to the charity of ones choice would be appreciated.

Daniel what can I say....you left to soon. I know you were 91 but thats still too young. You were a hoot to get to know. All I have are the memories I had to share...Im not on break right now but it seems you needed the ultimate vacation. I sure hope your havin a great time with our other friends and puttin in a good word for me. That spot at the table is always going to be your. I feel blessed to have shared that time with you. Always in my heart and around the building. See you soon.
Im sorry Mrs. Hodgert for your loss. Your family lost a great soul but remember to celebrate the amazing life he had. For his life is just starting on the other side. Thank you for sharing him with us.

Mr. Hodgert, and I crossed paths frequently in DND.
I found him to be a real gentleman, and a very nice human-being. We used to cross paths at Lawblaws, in Bell's Corner's the odd time,and he was always cheerful.He had a great sense of humour, And I know I will miss him greatly. May he rest in peace.
