Bob was a wonderful inspiration to many bridge players, a true competitor and a lovely person. RIP Bob, you'll be missed. Condolences to all his family.

I only knew Bob from bridge, and we never played as partners or teammates. But he was one of the greats.

We played against his team in the last match of his last Ottawa Sectional and his team won the match, finishing 2nd overall. I thought that oxygen would keep him alive forever.

He never won the Bambrick Bowl (named after his brother Billy, if I remember the story correctly) at the Ottawa Regional, but I figured God wouldn't take him until he had.

He was kind, thoughtful, humble, analytical, gracious, and intensely competitive. We played a lot of challenges on BBO. I will miss those.

Rest in Peace, Bob.

Sincere Condolences to the family. We were most fortunate to have met Bob while vacationing in Florida. He was a kind gentleman and a very good bridge player.
