On Monday, March 18, 2013, Maurice Babe Bovear Sr., 82, of Sanford, passed peacefully into the loving arms of his Savior Jesus Christ. He was born March 5, 1931, in Dearborn.
Maurice was married to Lucille (Childress) Bovear, who preceded him in death. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1948-1952, and had retired from Johnson Carbide in Saginaw in 1994. Maurice was a member of Faith Wesleyan Church, and enjoyed spending time with his family, going on vacations and riding horses. Surviving him are his children and their spouses, Renee (Dan) Tomes of Midland, Cherie (Mike) Mehle of Bedford, Pa.; sister, Pauline Kish; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Private family services have taken place. I didnt get to spend much time with my grandfather, but he was always nice to me and I loved him very much.
