Pete Bergman

Pete Bergman, 95, of Coleman, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at Brittany Manor in Midland. He was born March 27, 1919 in Gladwin County, the son of the late Ralph and Iva (Mitchell) Bergman. Pete married Betty J. Miller Oct. 24, 1942 in Midland. He was self-employed and enjoyed his garden.

Pete is survived by his wife of 71 years, Betty; their children and families, son, Berl (Jenny) Bergman: Tammy (Blake) Nelson; daughter, Diane (Keith) Hubble: Patrick Hubble, the late Terri (Brian) Ehrlich: Brendan, Brooke, Christine (Richard) Blake: Drew, Cameron, Austin, Kimberly (Tim) Haskell: Seth, Noah; daughter, Susan (Dennis) Vannest: Andrew (Alison) Vannest: Mikaeli, Jamison, Daniel (Tracey) Vannest: Ruby and Reid, Anna (Andrew) Kobs: Parker and Lane; son, Peter (Cindy)Bergman: Angela (Doug) Owens: Julia, Rae (Nick) Hafelein: Lucas, Kody and Carlie.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Terri (Hubble) Ehrlich; and sisters, Vesta King and Beryl Brugger.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, at the Faith United Methodist Church in Coleman, with the Rev. Caroline Hart officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday, starting at 10 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials are suggested to the Faith United Methodist Church Building Fund. O'Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. assisted the family with arrangements.
