WILLARD, Betty Jean (Johnson) Brannon age 85 of Somerville, OH, went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning at Woodland Country Manor with all her family around her. Born in Jacksonburg, OH on December 27, 1927, she grew up on a farm with her parents, Ernest & Ruth Johnson and siblings, Kenneth and Glen. Her farm was on State Route 73 that is now known as Butler Memorial Park. After leaving the farm she married Walter Brannon, in this marriage she bared two children, Ernest and Walter William. After this marriage ended she married Robert E. Willard in December of 1955. Betty & Robert made their home in Somerville for the last 57 years. Betty had several jobs but, when she became a Nurses Aid at Woodland Country Manor she knew she had found her nack. She always said she felt so good about being able to make a difference in someone's life. Twenty plus years at W.C.M., she had some stories to tell. After retiring, she went back to work part time in the laundry department. When she became ill we knew there was no other place for her to be taken care of than W.C.M., where she had been since June of 2012. Special Thanks to the staff at Woodland Country Manor for all the Love and Special Care that she received. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Ronnie Willard; brother, Glen Johnson; parents, Ernest & Ruth Johnson; step mother, Cecil Phillips, daughter-in-law, Ann Brannon; granddaughter, Cynthia Brannon. I am so sorry to hear of your mother's loss. She was such a beautiful person. I always loved seeing her because of her smile. She never had a bad word to say about any one. Always so pleasant and loved her flowers.
