As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
Prayer Shawls 4 Fallen Soldiers (ps4fs@charter.net) is an organization with groups throughout the country who work to send handmade prayer shawls and/or lap robes to families who have lost a loved one while serving our country. Members of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church would like to honor your son, husband and father's sacrifice and memory by sending our prayers and comfort through a prayer gift which will be mailed to you. If you are interested, please contact me at gramman@comcast.net with the names and addresses of those who would like to receive one and which gift they would like to receive. We will send our gift as soon as possible. Also, if you know of any other families who are grieving the loss of a loved on who died while serving our country, please pass along my e-mail address. May God bless you and comfort you in the days ahead. Sincerely, Lynne

So sorry and sad for the Schiro family.May God Bless this wonderful man, and watch over his family as I know he would have done.
My thoughts and prayers are with you especially today.
God bless fallen warrior, Joseph Schiro, and I pray that his family and friends find peace and comfort through his eternal love. I am forever grateful for Joseph's service for our country.
My heart aches for the Schiro family. I am so sorry for your loss and the horrible pain you are feeling. May our creator comfort you with love from family and friends. May you look to him and lean on him in your time of need and he will be there for you.
Beautiful words from Nick... I knew Joseph as a little boy and wish I had known him as the outstanding young man he became. He will always have a special place in my heart.
Holly and Joey, thank you for giving this Nation a very special person. Diana, I noticed at your
wedding that Joseph was a loving person to you, and later a great father to your children.
You're truly blessed.
The author Maya Angelou once said, “That it is not what you do for a person, but how you make them feel.”
Joseph was that kind of person. He made you feel good just by being in his presence. He was the best and the brightest. He was a leader, with all the qualities of courage, in the face of danger, and determination to get the job done and done right. He would stand up for what is right regardless of the consequences. You see, it wasn't about Joseph, it was about others. He would protect and defend the defenseless, and give aid to the helpless.
Those, whom he touched and knew him well, will never forget him. Joseph's dream of a better America will always live on.
Joseph never said why; Joseph dreamed things and said why not.
In John 14:2 Jesus said, “There are many rooms in my Father's house and I am going there to prepare a place for you.”
No one could ever imagine what God has prepared for those who love him. Because someday, we will be there together to meet our maker.
Joseph would have wanted us to move forward. To be kind, respectful, caring, and generous to others, and to help those who are in need of help.
Because in this nation of ours, “God's work here on earth must truly be our own”.
Thank you Joseph for your service, and your ultimate sacrifice to our nation. And God's speed to your journey home.
