I was so saddened to learn of this tragedy.
I remember Kat from Publix and from seeing her around town.
She ALWAYS had a smile; and even though I didn't know her personally, I could tell that she had a wonderful, light-filled spirit. My deepest condolences to her friends and family.

I would see Kathryn riding her bicycle up Northlake Blvd to go to work at Publix. I spoke to her about riding her bike and being careful. She always made us smile. She is missed. Our sympathies go to her family.

My family and I are frequent shoppers at the LP Publix store. I read an initial brief piece in the newspaper about a young woman who had been struck and killed but didn't know who it was. It wasn't until I read the larger article in yesterday's paper that I made the connection. I didn't even have to know her name. As soon as I read that it was a young redheaded cashier at Publix that always made people smile, I instantly knew who it was. Kathryn was beautiful both inside and out. She made everyone's day brighter. She was truly a special young woman. Our deepest sympathies go out to her family and coworkers. I know she will be greatly missed by all who came in contact with her.
