I met you for the first time a few weeks ago, but I always saw you studying hard in the library. From our brief conversation, I could that you were a good, genuine guy. From one Gator to another, may you rest in peace. God bless your family.

Abel, I can't believe I came home. I wish I had been in Gainesville. I'm still trying to call your cell, every day in hopes you will pick up.

But I have to thank you for being an all around amazing person, and a great friend to me. Always there when you were needed most. Always smiling. And I'm not the only person who feels that way.

I feel blessed to know you are in heaven, and that I have gained another angel. See you soon, Lamar.

Although I don't know you or ever met your parents but from one Gator Alumni mom, my heart goes out to your parents especially your mom. May God grant her the strength to persevere.
