Bob, I just found out about your passing from one of the neighbors. So sorry we did not have the chance for goodbyes and hope you did not suffer too much. I'll miss your rantings about the shenanigans here in Delray Beach and your insights and guidance. I hope your family knows they can contact me if I can help them with anything here. May you Rest In Peace and have fun up there!

Bob.....Thank you for being a prime mover of the wildcat reunions of the Williston chaps. It has been great to visit with friends and class mates from times past. At one of the first I attended, Red White and I were discussing how to contact some of our hall mates, you asked who and we mentioned Bo Burke. About half hour later, you found Red and myself to speak on the phone. You had found Bo either in the hospital or home recovering from most recent surgery. Big fun to talk with him......Thanks. And thanks again for bringing together a number of our group who without your effort would probably never seen each other again. You are missed friend and classmate.

Dear Bob,
You were a great friend to my mom and I will always appreciate that. I remember the "Guatemala room" in your house when we went to visit you at Delray Beach. That was such a fun trip that I will surely remember forever. Thanks for being a good friend not only to my mom, but to many family members and myself. You always gave me good advice and gave the strongest hugs ever! You will surely be missed. Rest in peace, Bob. Much love from Costa Rica.

My dear friend Bobby, I am so sorry I was not able to do more for you. You are dear friend, always close to support others. Thank you for all these years of friendship, we had so much fun dreaming on new ways of running hotels in Costa Rica ! I will miss you deeply, your telephone conferences.
We love you very much.
May your soul rest in peace.

Bob provided the humor that lightened many otherwise dull political dutiies. I will always recall with fondness the long rides to Tallahassee for Legislative session and the late nghts of strategy lubricated by adult beverages. He was a fun companion and a wise advisor. I'll miss my friend... Former Delray City Councilman

Bob, I will genuinely miss our lunches at Duffy's and all the hell you gave the waitresses!; our 2-3 phone conferences; and most of all your Reunion thoughts for all Williston people even if not graduates. (Thugsey would kill me for the last run-on sentence) All of us that have been to your reunions will sorely miss you. We down here most of all. The next time our "lunch bunch" meets we will toast you with a few? beers! RIP Duff

A man of high emotion, he was not politically correct in expressing his feelings on issues, but then Hutz would not have been Hutz! He was actively engaged in life, providing impetus to Williston Academy Alumni and gave a significant contribution of self and time to it. We will remember his life and speak of his deeds for many years to come.

Bob, I've known you since 1957 when we were both young aspiring students at Williston Academy in Easthampton, MA. My grandmother had me attend as I was having too much fun in public school. Knowing you as well as I do now, I can only imagine why you were there. Likely you had been telling public school administrations they were full of @#$% and had no idea how to run their school. As one of the triumvirate of Williston '58s who "invented" and started Williston Wildcat Weekend, and as the one who dedicated much of your own time and money over the past 10 years to arrange and grow that event, I will be forever grateful to you for the many friends I have reconnected with, and the new friends I have made at those yearly September weekends in Mystic. It's been my privilege and pleasure to work with you on most of the subsequent annual weekends (and on many other projects including politics, fishing tournaments, and a Costa Rican school) to make then successful and enjoyable for all. I know it's been your dream to have Williston Wildcat Weekend become a legal entity so it perpetuates beyond our generation. I promise to see that happens, my friend. My wife Marilyn and I will both miss hearing your special ringtone on my phone as you'd call almost daily during days, nights, weekends, meals, movies, shopping, and some quite inconvenient activities. We'd both look at each other and smile; at least most of the time. It's now much too quiet. I'm sure wherever you are now, you are now giving the administration fits. Nobody does it better. Rest well, my dear friend. You have a big heart, and you leave a big hole in the ones you left behind.
