My dear Brother Chris. As you know, you were the father figure in my life. You taught me to work hard, to be honest, to be compassionate and to never give up. We spent countless days together. Racing to Arcata to see silver dollar sized snowflakes falling on Clam Bleach. Playing Softball together, you on 3rd base and me in left field. Playing Nintendo until 3am. Hiking dozens of miles together through the canyons and mountains. Swimming in the river, jumping off 100 ft cliffs into the water! Hunting for and exploring long, dark caves. Digging our own cave off of Neal Road. Digging for gold in Feather River Canyon. Climbing old telephone poles along the railroad tracks above Hwy 70 to steal the pretty glass insulators.
My dear brother, I have so many wonderful memories of our time together. I love you very much and know someday we will walk together again. May God smile upon you Chris.
Your Little Brother Shannon (aka "Boy")
