To the family, I am very sorry for your loss. Mr. Specter was a man who cared about our veterans. I wrote to him several years ago when the HR department at Coatsville Veterans hospital wanted to release my father, a WW two veteran. He was on a waiting list for the Southeastern Veterans center and his name had not come up soon enough for the staff at Coatsville. My mother was 90 years old and living with me. I could not take care of my father also with his dementia. Within a short time of writing to Mr. Specter, the Coatsville staff became very friendly and my father was permitted to stay until he was admitted to the Southeastern center.
