Robert Carl "Bob" Anderson, 89, of Paradise, CA; owner of R.C. Anderson Taxidermy passed away on September 27, 2013, from liver cancer.
Bob was born in San Diego, CA on December 30, 1923. After graduating from San Diego High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Private 1st class Anderson was awarded the purple heart for combat injuries sustained while serving under George S. Patton.
In 1946 Robert married Ann Harper and had three children. In 1970 Robert moved to Paradise CA where he became a distinguished and highly respected taxidermist. Bob was a lover of nature which he expressed through his rare artistic talent. A private service is planned for later in the year in San Diego.
His steadfast work ethic, kind gentle approach and resilient sense of humor endured him to valued customers as well as friends and family.
Bob is survived by his son, Don Anderson, daughters, Pamela Lawless, and Theresa Peters, and step-daughter, Gail Schwabenland; brother, Donald Anderson, sister, Betty Herndon, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was a kind and caring man who's lifelike creations will continue to give pleasure to all who see them.

Papa, There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of you. Sometimes, I am overwhelmed with feelings joy other times I am sorrowed that I will not get to make more memories with you. You are the best Grand father anyone could have ever asked for. Thank you for all that you have done and all the good things your memory will do to enhance my life and my children's lives. You were and still are My Hero. I love you now until forever.

I always looked forward to spring time fishing trips with uncle Bob.I am blessed to have spent many days fishing and enjoying his company.We had great times together.He will never be forgotten.

My "Papa" was and will always be the best man Ive ever known. He raised me from a baby and loved me unconditionally even though I was not biologically his grand child. He will always be remembered, loved and very missed. R.I.P I love you "Papa" I am also sorry that you didnt get to meet some of my younger children.. for they loved you just as much as the ones who knew you.

I have fond memories of hunting quail with Bob on his fathers property in the San Diego back country and deer hunting above Ramona and the Sierras and flunkying for him when he mounted my hunting trophies when he lived in La Mesa. I will always remember him saying " thanks for the lesson" when I bagged a deer and he didn't on one of our hunts.

Robert- You were the greatest uncle EVER! I will always regret not having stayed in closer contact with you over the past years. My own Dad pretty well summed it up when he said you were cut from the same cloth as your own father, Iver, of whom I never heard anyone say a bad word. God bless you.
