Mary and Don Pickler! I always addressed their Christmas card as "The Grouch (that's Don) and the Human Fly (that's Mary)." Don wasn't really a grouch, and Mary wasn't really a fly. But with her great sense of humor she handled being teased about those BIG glasses (much like mine in later years)! Mary will be missed by MANY. She was an advocate of the less fortunate, a true artist, a STRONG woman, and a beautiful person. I love you, Mary, and I know that are in the loving arms of your creator.

I have so many happy memories of time spent with you all over the years. Waterskiing and ice tea on Lake Oroville, dinner at your kitchen table, (including laughing as Mr. Pickler poked Marcia's hand with a fork as she reached for his plate,)music department functions, 4H projects and animals, rides in Deanna's Maverick, and your TLC after I fell off of Deanna E's horse! I am most grateful for the way you taught me what loving, healthy families look like. Mrs. Pickler was a mentor for me, showing me what a kind, smart, strong mother and woman of integrity looks like. I felt so welcomed and included in your family every time I saw her. You are in my thoughts, prayers, and my heart.
