Mr. James,
Your spirit and wisdom you tried to teach me and others is still very much alive.

At least once a day, I ask, "What would Mr. James do?" Sometimes the answer(s) comes quickly or a few days later.

I will always remember, when I first started teaching (6th grade), I asked you for your words of advice. I was bracing for a long winded response and you said, "Treat them (student's) with kindness and respect, for you might be the only one who gives it to them."

Mark Perry,
Thank you for your thoughts and memories that you shared. I'm planning to open up a Facebook club call "The Ted James Club", but it's at is primary state of though. There is another Facebook club called the "National Electrical Code (NFPA 70)" the deals NEC codes and issues of the day and I'm trying to link with the "The Ted James Club". Other than sharing some stories and photographs, I think Mr. James would like us to continue learning of our electrical trade and expanding our training. The James Family is awarded about it and they would like to see it in some way of being low key and tasteful in respects for Mr. James. As of now I'll try to let know when it going to open up, but please pass the word around.

Thank you Armando Ramirez for keeping this guest book open,

I like to visit this area at times to sort of feel still connected to a man that really expanded my mind to the attitude of electricity, what it does, what it doesn't do, why it does .. etc .. . I have been and still am a Licensed C10 Electrical Contractor, since 1987 , my last class with Mr James was during 1986 I was 24 years old, never did finish the class, but those first 3 years were absolutely priceless.

I did see him one last time in Pasadena on a the way to an estimate, probably 25 years ago, He was driving his old Van, I slowed to get his attention, he reluctantly slowed too, He recognized me right away with a big Ted James grin ..all I remember is here was my mentor and me stopped in the middle of some residential street talking about electricity again, I think he was pleased when he noticed I was a licensed electrician being that my old el Camino had my company name and License number across the driver door .. I'm sure he was proud .. I'll never forget you Ted, we'll meet up again in time ..
