WILLIAM RAY HOOVER II

Bill "Billy" was born January 5, 1936 in Pomona California to William Ray and Louise T. Sylva Hoover. He left us on January 13, 2013 at the age of 77 because of heart failure. He graduated from Pomona High School class of 1953. Bill married Kerry Frances McClendon in 1958. In 1978 he married Faye Ross Provience. The Hoovers moved to Ontario in 19664 and Bill was a 50 year member of the Plumbers Local 398. Bill was an avid car lover his whole life and loved to spend endless weekends at Lake Mead boating with friends and family. There was no one more generous and he loved fishing, motorsports, time with family and reading obituaries. This one's for you Dad. Bill was a devoted father to Julie Frances Robertson (Don) (Kevin Holme), Jani Ray Garlow (David), William Ray Hoover III (Judi), Julia Francis Hoover and Denise Provience. His greatest joy was his grandchildren, Natalie Elise Hoover (Brian Reyes), Steven William Holme, Brianna Leigh Garlow, Grant William Garlow, Daniel Ray Robertson, Kaitlynn Rae Hoover, Benjamin Michael Robertson, Manda Ynez, Jarrod Robertson, Ryan Garcia (Alyssa), Isaac Garcia, Eric Garcia (Lindsey ) and Chris Garcia (Stephanie) and great-grand- daughters Ryley, Summer & Lily. Bill is survived by his sister Charlotte Gaynor of Las Vegas, Nv. and brothers Richard Hoover and Robert Hoover of Apple Valley, Ca. and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father and mother and his brother Frank A. Hoover, wife Faye and his cousin Jim Sylva. Bill was greatly Loved and will be greatly missed.
Celebration of Bill's life will be held at Vince's Spaghetti on Holt in Ontario. Saturday, January 26, 2013. 12:30-4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers Contributions can be made to Julia F. Hoover (Dad's 16 year old daughter), Bank of America.

So sorry to hear of Billy's passing. He was part of my history back in the day. Think of those times often. Thought Kerry's name was so beautiful, named my daughter the same. My thoughts are with the family today.
