On behalf of the President, Executive and Membership of the United Irish Societies of Montreal, we wish to extend our deepest sympathy on the loss of Pat Burns who will be deeply missed in life. The hockey world has lost a great man, he was the best. To the Burns family, may the many happy memories you shared together as a family help you through this difficult time.

My father (Joseph Rooney) grew up with Pat and knew him during his police officer stint in Gatineau Quebec.

The both of us would like to offer our sincerest condolences to his family.
