What a great actor, I just watched him in another movie this time with Clint Eastwood. I had to look him up, what an amazing talent, his familt was truly blessed.

Your light shines forever through the characters that you brought to life through your art. I am the daughter of your distant cousin but do not claim to be family . Yet, as an artist myself I would have loved to hear your stories. And no doubt, your story continues to be told through your precious family even today .

I worked with Pat at Cecilwood and got my equity card that Summer. I had the good fortune to work with Lou Antonio, Lonnie Chapman, Curt Conway, Robert Armstrong and many other during a three year residency at the theater

I remember standing behind Mr. Hingle once at a Harris-Teeter grocery store in Wilmington once and him dressed in casual clothing and wearing suspenders. He'd purchased some seafood and was paying by check. Not being one to pester celebrities I remained silent and assumed the cashier would recognize him due to the many times he'd been on the movie screen as well as TV, but she didn't. When the young lady asked to see his ID he didn't react as many self indulgent celebrities may have reacted he complied without so much as a "Don't you know who I am?" comment. He seemed to be a gracious man not the least egotistical. I always enjoyed watching him in whatever part he was portraying be it a heroic one or that of a villain which he performed with equal aplomb. It was a sad day when we lost him and offer this belated remark as it relates to him.

I have enjoyed Pat Hingle's acting on TV and films over the years I was growing up
and he left a mark because of his excellent portrayal of becoming the character he was playing , While I was looking at the great people in this profession such as Gregory Peck , Anthony Quin , Marlon Brando , Julie Christie , Warren Beatty, Lee Marvin , david Jannsen , Vivian Leigh I remembered Pat Hingle with all these names after all these years.Being in Pakistan didnt know he had passed away and now after reading so many things about him as internet Wikipedia stores a lot of history , I remember him with his smile and his larger than life personality , his command over his role. MISS YOU PAT MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY LIFE HAPPY .
