As a veteran of the Viet Nam war and a U of A alum all I can say is how sorry I am to hear about Pat Tillmans passing. My heart goes out to his family and all who knew him. He is truly a hero who walked away from fame and riches to fight for the country he loved so much. It is the ultimate sacrifice and I am greatly saddened by his loss. This certainly brings to the forefront the trivial nature of school rivalry and instead brings us all together as Americans in our appreciation for Pat Tillman's sacrifice. I know he is in Heaven. God bless Pat Tillman. I think I speak for all Wildcat fans when I express my condolences. He was a fine human being and as a brother in arms, I would have been proud to serve along side him.

Words cannot express either my sadness upon hearing of Pat's death, nor my complete awe at his unselfeshness and greatness in all that he accomplished. God love him eternally, and peace to all his kin. Thank you Pat for all you endured for my precious freedom.

Pat Tillman was a son, brother, husband and friend before he was a professional football player and Army Ranger. Our community of Almaden within San Jose, CA (Pat's hometown) is devestated by the loss of Pat. He rode his bike down our streets, played soccer on our middles school field and had a amazing football career at our highschool. local businesses are flying their American flags at half staff today to honor his memory and what he and every soilder scarifices for our country and our freedom. Our community has always been so proud of Pat and his accomplishments. My thoughts and prayers are with the Tillman's. Pat's memory will live on through all the lives that he touched and I feel so blessed to have known him.
