We are proud to have a man like him in our country. He was a professional hero!

I just want to thank Pat Tillman for being such a joy to valley residents. I had the honor of running into Pat and his brother at the gym two months before they both enlisted. They were both class act guys that first introduced themselves to us such as guys off the street, not a multi million dollar contract player. Pat will be remembered by all of us athletes from the valley and our prayers go out to him.

I'm a Viet Nam Vet...1969-70
My condolences to the Tillman Family. He will be remembered in my heart and mind as a true American Hero.

My sincere condolences go out to the Tillman family. Mr. Tillman gave us many great memories in his collegiate and pro careers. Following that he showed great pride and courage by enlisting in the U.S. Army. This is truly a gut wrenching loss. My thoughts and prayers will be with him and his family as they go through this very difficult time. He will always be remembered, always.

What a fine example of what a person can become in life. Pat took his young life "by the horns" and will always be admired for his positive choices and passion.

My heart-felt condolences go out to family and friends at this very hard time.

Its funny I was thinking about Pat the other day and wondered where he was stationed. I wondered what his days might be like. I said a prayer to keep him safe. The news of his death has shocked and saddened me. I didn't know him but I honored his decision....I won't forget!

As a young football player, I looked up to Pat; however now he is a true hero.

I just wanted to offer the Tillman family my condolences. I’ve been a Pat Tillman fan for a very long time, not for his football stats but for what he stood for as a man. I’m a father of two and have used Pat as an example of how human beings should conduct themselves and live their lives. I’m deeply sorry for your loss.

I've followed him throughout his career and heard the tragic news of his passing this morning. Our whole office is devasted that we have lost him and so many others. When my daughter asks me about heroes and role-models someday, I am going to tell her the story of Pat Tillman.
