I have been a fan of Paul Newman my entire life. As a child, I was mesmerized by his performances in Cool Hand Luke, The Hustler, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, to name a few. As I grew older, I was a fan for reasons less to do with his acting, but more for his philantropy. I also have enormous respect for the longevity of his marriage to Joanne Woodward. I know there is probably no such thing as the perfect marriage. My grandmother always told me "If you know anyone married over 25 years, know they have put in much good work." God Bless Mr. Newman, his wife, family and friends. I for one will mourn him and be more than just a little sad there will be no more Newman movies. Thank God he left us with so much to choose from and so much to admire and respect!

It's weird I was just thinking about Mr. Newman the other day because of the upcoming election and I new what a progressive he was and how much he must like Obama. He was a great actor and an even greater humanitarian. I always told people I would cry when he died and I did. There will never be anyone like Paul. Thanks for everything. I'll always love you.

HE WILL BE MISSED, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, HE WILL BE REMEMBERED....
September 27, 2008
I met Paul Newman at the Grafton Inn in Vermont where his family went every Christmas season in the 70s and early 80s. He was always cheerful, warm, yet stayed to himself in a lovely way. How can someone do all three things. He could!

Everyone wanted Paul to have a nice time, not be bothered, and that is what happened every time I was there. He made people better--by just being himself.
