Col Tibbets and his crew were a but a small part of the entire effort that was WW II. However, their bravery and dedication to the task they were appointed is an example of what brought Victory in the European & Pacific theaters. The Aviation / Air Force communities have lost one of their most memorable members as he has slipped the surly bonds and into eternity he flys...God Speed, Paul Tibbets

Many of us may not have been born if our relatives would have been killed in the invasion of Japan. All of us should be very grateful to the courage of Paul Tibbets and his crew.

I'm saddened to learn of the death of this fine American aviator. He served America and did his duty, truly saving millions of Americans and even Japanese citizens when his actions helped end the war. God Rest His Soul and God Bless Paul Tibbets!
