To the Hansen Family: Please accept our deepest condolences for the loss of your loved one. God's Word hold out a wonderful hope, “Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, You residents in the dust! For your dew is as the dew of the morning, And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life."-Isa.26:19 May this hope bring you comfort.
Take Care,
E. Ramirez

On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans (USSVI), we offer our most sincere condolences and sympathy to Maisie, Bonnie, Erik, and all of Chief Hansen's family and friends in this time of sorrow and grief. God bless you with peace, comfort, and heal your broken hearts. We are especially thankful for Bjarne's service to our country in the U.S. Submarine Service during WWII. His Naval career included service on the USS Richmond CL-9 SA 1940, USS Yorktown CVS/CV-10 YN3 1941, USS S-14 SS-119 YN2 1942-43, USS S-46 SS-157 YNC(SS) 1943-44, USS Litchfield DD-336/AG-95 YNC(SS) 1944, and the USS Flounder SS-251 YNC(SS) 1945-46. To our “Brother of the Dolphin” we say … "Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. May you rest in peace and may God bless your loved ones who remain. Thank you for your service to our country."

So, heavenly Father add his name to the roll
Of our departed shipmates still on patrol.
Let them know that we who survive
Will always keep their memories alive.

Bless those who serve beneath the deep,
Through lonely hours their vigil keep.
May peace their mission ever be!
Protect each one, we ask of Thee.
Bless those at home who wait and pray
For their return by night and day.
